Recruitment continues apace with a visit to Boston for MIT Sloan’s Master of Finance Networking Night. As a premium sponsor on the night we had a great time meeting the graduating class and the incoming class of the MFin program. Joining Katharina Botlo, Quantbot’s Intern Program Coordinator, were Shrinath Viswanathan, a former Quantbot intern and current Quant Researcher, and Rui Xiong, a fellow Quant Researcher, former Quantbot intern and herself an alumni of MIT’s MFin program. We had a great time fielding questions from enthusiastic students who wanted to learn more about opportunities at Quantbot.
Another Year, Another Night of Sake
It’s June, and as per Quantbot tradition, we found ourselves at the annual Joy of Sake event last week! Along with excellent food from local NYC restaurants, there was the usual overwhelming choice of sakes to try. We had a great turnout from our office this year and had a blast trying out the food samples and sakes on offer. Needless to say we’re already looking forward to next year!
Bonus:
Quantbot and the Squash
Last Wednesday the company (interns included!) rolled into the Princeton Club in NYC for spirited games of squash and ping pong. Bouncing between racket, paddle and plates of food we had fun learning how to play squash, and watching the more competitive of us challenge each other to games. After a brief intro lesson to squash, we got into the swing of things and played games with gusto. Our interns took this chance to play and chat with others in the company, and even got some points against our more experienced players! All of us had a ball and we’re ready to have another whack at it soon!
