Last night, our Quantbot interns headed to Spin to attend Schonfeld's Farewell Intern Event. With internship projects slowly wrapping up, it was a great opportunity for our interns to hang out and engage in friendly ping-pong competition with interns from Schonfeld and other quant groups before they all head back to their respective campuses this month. There was an informal tournament, and one of our interns was on the winning team! It was a fun night and we thank Schonfeld for inviting us.
It's June, and as per Quantbot tradition, we found ourselves at the annual Joy of Sake event last week! Along with excellent food from local NYC restaurants, there was the usual overwhelming choice of sakes to try. We had a great turnout from our office this year and had a blast trying out the food samples and sakes on offer. Needless to say we're already looking forward to next year!
Bonus:
On March 27th, Quantbot Technologies turned 10!! The US Team celebrated with a presentation by our President Paul White with flashbacks from the past, drinks (lots) , and an amazing team dinner at Zuma NYC. Everyone was full of smiles and laughter all night long !

Our CEO gave a seminar in February 2019 about the linkage between physics and quantitative finance to students at the University of Bonn in Germany. The lecture was followed by lively Question and Answer session since many in the audience realized for the first time the close connection between, for example, black-sholes and the heat equation.
